Spiti is the cold desert of Himachal: monasteries on cliffs, villages above 4,000 m, and night skies that make you put the phone down. It is also a place where going with a group makes sense. Roads are rough, distances are long, and a trip leader who knows the route takes the stress out. We run two Spiti trips: the Full Circuit through Kinnaur and Spiti, and a Winter Spiti trip for people who want snow and silence.
Our Spiti trips
Which one should you pick?
- Full Circuit: the classic loop that ends in Manali via Chandratal. Choose this in the open season.
- Winter Spiti: snow, frozen streams and fewer tourists. Choose this if you can handle cold and accept that weather can change the plan. Read is Winter Spiti a trek? and Spiti Valley in January before you book.

- May/June to September: the main season. Both road routes are generally open, and Chandratal and Kunzum Pass are accessible once cleared. Road status changes every year, so check before booking.
- October and November: cold, clear and quiet. Higher passes may close.
- December to March: winter Spiti via Shimla and Kinnaur. Heavy cold, snow, and possible road closures. Better for travellers who are fine with flexibility.
