Winter Spiti from Pune: Flying from Pune or Mumbai and Planning Leave

Pune is a good start, as you can fly to Delhi from there. Mumbai gives more options for Chandigarh.

Choose the airport by the full day, not the fare. A cheaper flight that lands late at night saves nothing if you miss the morning pickup.

What to plan
- Land in Delhi or Chandigarh the day before the group starts.
- Keep your return flight at least a day after the trip is due to end. Winter road delays in Kinnaur and Spiti are real.
- Carry winter gear in your cabin bag where possible, so a lost bag does not leave you without a jacket.

Leave. Count the whole span, including the arrival day and a spare day.

Reminder. Spiti is reached in winter by Shimla and Kinnaur, because the Manali-Kaza route over Kunzum Pass is closed.
