Himachal Trip Cost: How 5, 7 and 10-Day Budgets Differ

We are not giving rupee figures, because the cost of a trip depends on season, hotel type, vehicle and route. What stays the same is the structure.

Cost categories
1. Getting there. Flights or trains to Chandigarh, Delhi or Amritsar, and back.
2. Local vehicle. Charged by the day or by the route. A longer trip adds more days.
3. Stays. The biggest variable. Peak weeks such as Christmas and New Year raise rates.
4. Meals. Depends on the meal plan (EP, CP, MAP or AP).
5. Activities and entry fees.
6. Buffer. Roads can close, so keep money for an extra night.

How the length changes it
- 5 days: one region, fewer vehicle days, less buffer needed.
- 7 days: two bases, one more transfer.
- 10 days: more transfers and nights, and more risk of weather disruption.

Compare quotes by asking each one for a day-wise itinerary, hotel names, the meal plan and a list of exclusions. Then compare like with like.
