Every HumTripWale group trip travels with a trip captain. You do not need to plan, chase bookings or find the way. Your captain looks after the group so you can look at the mountains.
What your trip captain does
- Meets the group at the start and keeps everyone together through the trip.
- Coordinates stays, meals and transport so each day runs to plan.
- Briefs the group each day on the route, timings, weather and road status.
- Carries first-aid support and helps if someone is unwell.
- Looks after permits where the package includes them, such as Inner Line Permits for Spiti.
- Changes the plan when roads close or weather turns, and tells you what it means for the day.
- Helps new people settle in, so solo travellers feel part of the group.
Where you will meet your captain
On our group trips, such as Manali, Spiti, Kashmir and other Himachal trips. Your package page and itinerary say what is included for that trip.
Making the most of your trip
- Share your health needs and food preferences when you book.
- Be at the meeting point on time.
- Listen to the daily briefing. Mountain plans can change.
- Ask your captain for local tips on food, places and photo spots.
